JSW Steel Reports 8% YoY Growth in Combined Crude Steel Production for FY26, at 30.14 Million Tonnes

JSW Steel reported combined Crude Steel production for FY26 at 30.14 million tonnes, registering a growth of 8% YoY. The Company’s Salem unit upgraded one of its casters in January 2026, followed by the commissioning of a new Ladle Furnace and Vacuum Degasser in February 2026. Upon successful integration of these units by the end of February 2026, the capacity of the Salem unit increased from 1.0 MTPA to 1.15 MTPA, effective March 2026. Blast Furnace–3 (BF‑3) at Vijayanagar has been under shutdown for capacity upgradation since the end of September 2025, which impacted crude steel production and capacity utilisation at the Company’s Indian operations during FY26. The production volume for the FY26 is as follows: Indian Operations 29.25 Mnt, JSW Steel USA – Ohio 0.83 Mnt, Consolidated Production 30.08 Mnt, JSW Sambalpur Steel Ltd.(JSSL) 0.06 Mnt, Indian Op incl JSSL 29.31 Mnt, Combined Production incl JSSL 30.14 Mnt. Combined Crude Steel production for Q4 FY26 was at 7.49 million tonnes.
