Apollo Micro Systems gets lifetime license for arms manufacturing
Apollo Micro Systems Limited (AMS) has been granted a lifetime license by the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to manufacture ammunitions. The license, issued on April 10, 2026, authorizes AMS to manufacture, assemble, integrate, and proof-test high-value strategic weapon systems and munitions, including missiles, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), torpedoes, aerial bombs, rockets, and loitering munitions. This strategic development fundamentally transforms AMS's revenue architecture and market positioning, moving the company from a provider of embedded systems and subsystems to an end-to-end platform manufacturer of complete weapon systems. Manufacturing will take place at two AMS-owned facilities in Hyderabad.
