NLC India Granted Composite Licence for Chhattisgarh Blocks

NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) has been granted composite licences by the Mineral Resources Department, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, for the Semhardih Phosphorite & Limestone Block and Raipura Phosphorite & Limestone Block. This follows NLCIL emerging as the preferred bidder in the Tranche–V auction conducted by the Ministry of Mines and the subsequent submission of Performance Securities to the Government of Chhattisgarh. The licences, issued on April 24, 2026, permit NLCIL to conduct detailed geological exploration in the specified blocks.
